The Immortals Card Guide
What the Immortals Do
The Immortals are the officially named Persian unit described as "always replaced" — when they fall, a replacement arrives. It is the clearest resilience mechanic among the five empires: a unit that trades, dies, and shows up again changes every math of attrition in Persia's favor.
How to Pilot Always-Replaced Units
Replacement units make your attacks free and your blocks expensive for the opponent. The Persian game plan is to attack constantly — even into bad trades — because the Immortals come back and the enemy board does not. What officially remains to be seen is how replacements interact with promotion: an empire that steals ranks AND replaces losses would be oppressive, so expect limits.
Empire Context
The Immortals are the front line of the official Persian identity — replaced soldiers, war elephants behind them, and a satrapy-fed treasury paying for all of it. Persia does not dodge damage; it outlasts it.
