Coalition Card Guide

Coalition is the officially named Austrian power that "binds your army into one body". It is the mechanic that makes Austria greater than the sum of its parts — a scattered board becomes a single coordinated force, with everything that implies for buffs, defenses and shared strength. Exact rules arrive at launch.

If Coalition rewards a full board, the Austrian skill is assembling one safely — hence the official "opens slowly" framing. Deploy wide, protect the pieces, and bind when the army is worth binding. The failure mode is binding early out of fear and giving the opponent one target instead of many.

The official Austrian identity is "a realm with two heads". Coalition is the political expression of that identity at the table — many states, one empire, one army.
